Today, we're introducing a new resource we've been developing with you in mind, aimed at making your experiences within our worlds even better: the MYSverse Wiki (MYSwiki). Our MYSverse project has always been about building immersive, Malaysian-centric virtual environments, and a key part of that is ensuring you have the knowledge to fully engage.

Why a wiki?

Making information more accessible

As MYSverse has grown, with intricate experiences like Bandaraya and Lebuhraya offering diverse gameplay, we've recognised the need for a central, reliable source of information. We've heard your feedback, and we see your questions every day! Whether it's figuring out the specifics of a new role, understanding the nuances of a game mechanic, or even just knowing how to get started, it can sometimes involve a bit of searching or asking around.

Many of you frequently ask, "Macam mana nak jadi polis?" (How to become a police officer?) - it's practically become a community catchphrase, as seen in our Discord channels!

Beyond that, we get countless enquiries like "How do I join the army (tentera)?" or "What are the steps to become a firefighter (bomba)?" For instance, a new player in Bandaraya might wonder about the specific requirements to join the MYSverse Police or how the in-game economy truly functions for different careers. Similarly, understanding the road rules and vehicle handling in Lebuhraya is crucial for a good experience, regardless of your chosen role.

The MYSwiki is our solution to bridge these information gaps. It’s designed to empower you with clear, accessible documentation, helping you learn how things work, discover the full scope of possibilities within our roleplay environments, and generally get a clearer understanding of MYSverse. This foundational knowledge is key to richer, more realistic roleplay, allowing everyone to participate more confidently and pursue the roles they're passionate about.

Getting started guides

To kick things off, the MYSwiki launches with essential "Get Started" guides for our flagship experiences, Bandaraya and Lebuhraya. We've focused on making these practical and user-friendly.

For example, the "Get Started with Bandaraya" guide (which you might have seen in screenshots) will walk you through crucial initial steps. This includes not just navigating the main menu or earning your first Bandaraya Ringgit (BR), but also understanding how to find and start your first job: perhaps as a postal worker or a e-hailing driver, and learning about the various interactive elements within the city!

Similarly, the Lebuhraya guide will cover essential controls and how to spawn your first vehicle to ensure a smooth journey on our virtual highways. Our aim is to help you feel prepared and comfortable as you begin or continue your adventures.

What’s next?

Expanding the knowledge base

These initial guides are just the foundation. The MYSwiki is planned as an evolving, dynamic resource. We will be progressively adding more detailed information across several key areas:

• Teams and roles
  • Beyond just listing them, we'll delve into the objectives, requirements, progression paths, and unique tools or abilities associated with different teams (like Polis, Bomba, or civilian services) and roles within each MYSverse experience.
  • This will help you make informed decisions about the path you want to take in your roleplay.
• Key features
  • We'll provide comprehensive explanations of unique game elements, from specific economic systems in Bandaraya to advanced vehicle customisation or safety features in Lebuhraya.
  • Understanding these features fully allows for deeper engagement.
• Vehicles
  • Expect detailed information on the various vehicles available across our experiences: specifications, acquisition methods, handling characteristics, and perhaps even tips for their best use in different scenarios.

  • This could range from how our law enforcement system works in roleplay scenarios to the specifics of in-game jobs and rewards, where applicable.

Reflecting Malaysia's rich linguistic diversity is a core principle for us. We are committed to making the MYSwiki accessible to as many community members as possible. Therefore, we are actively working to provide content in the four main languages of Malaysia:

You might have seen preview screenshots showing the Bandaraya guide in Tamil; this is an ongoing effort, and we're dedicated to ensuring quality and clarity across all translations. This multilingual approach ensures that language is not a barrier to understanding and enjoying MYSverse!

Your contributions matter

The MYSwiki is designed to be a resource for the community, and just as importantly, by the community. Your insights, experiences, and knowledge are invaluable. You'll find an "Edit this page" button on the wiki, which links directly to our GitHub repository where all the content is managed. If you have information to add, spot something that needs correcting or clarifying, or have a deeper understanding of a particular mechanic, we warmly encourage you to contribute.

We understand that using GitHub might be a new experience for some. To make this process as smooth as possible, we will be publishing a comprehensive Contributor Guide very soon. This guide will provide clear, step-by-step instructions on how to suggest changes, add new content, or even help with translations. Every contribution, no matter how small; a typo correction, an updated statistic, or a new paragraph explaining a feature, helps make the wiki better for everyone. Your diverse perspectives will ensure the MYSwiki remains accurate, up-to-date, and truly representative of player knowledge.
